The sixth annual Give!Guide is a holiday season fundraiser that serves as a unique vehicle for generating donations for a collection of Portland area non-profit organizations. This year Willamette Week has chosen us to participate in their annual Give!Guide effort.

The Give!Guide’s goal is to develop new donors for organizations like ours. Willamette Week puts a special emphasis on identifying new donors under the age of 36 & provides all sorts of incentives to help bring this about.

Each year, the Skidmore Prize recognizes the efforts of four outstanding young adults who devote their work and time to charitable, non-profit organizations that directly benefit the Portland community. Intended to encourage long-term commitment to the non-profit sector, the Skidmore prize is awarded to individuals who not only do great work themselves but also encourage others to get involved.

We are pleased to announce that Amy Sacks, Executive Director of The Pixie Project, is a recipient of the 2009 Skidmore Prize!

We are incredibly proud of Amy and her devotion to Portland’s animal community. We are honored to have such a deserving member of our Pixie family recognized for her heroic efforts. Congratulations Amy!
